Feyen Backs Governors Comments On Creative Economy
State Senator Dan Feyen says he agrees with Governor Walker about the need to have a creative economy to attract a talented workforce. Feyen attended the Governor’s address at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac when the Governor made those remarks. Feyen says there is a worker shortage in Fond du Lac and Winnebago counties with over 2,000 job openings. Feyen says Mercury Marine is a prime example of a company that appreciates the importance of having a community that can offer workers attractions that will give them something to do when they aren’t working. The Governor talked about the importance of attracting Millennials to fill our workforce needs, but Feyen says it is just as important to attract workers of all ages. Feyen says the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, Buttermilk Creek Park concerts, Waterfest, Walleye Weekend, Country USA, the upcoming Fond du Lac County Fair are just a few activities and attractions the area has to offer.
