Fire At Sadoff Iron And Metal

Fond du Lac firefighters were at the scene of scrap metal fire at Sadoff Iron and Metal for several hours yesterday. The fire department was dispatched to the business at 251 West Arndt at 4:47 p.m. for a fire in a scrap metal shredder. The blaze involved scrap materials in the structure and adjacent to the building. Fire crews remained at the scene for several hours to put out smoldering hot spots. Sadoff personnel helped with heavy equipment to spread the scrap metal pile. No one was injured and a damage estimate wasn’t available. Fond du Lac Fire Department photo.
