Fire causes substantial damage to pole shed

At approximately 1:04 AM Sunday morning, January 26, 2025, the Knowles Volunteer Fire Department, along with Auto Aid from Lomira Fire Department and Brownville Fire Co., were called to County Road H for report of a truck on fire in pole shed at W1584 county H, Mittlestadt trucking in Dodge County.
Upon arrival the truck fire was extinguished, but due to the intense heat fire had started in the attic above the truck.
Efforts were made to extinguish the fire in the attic area, but due to multiple remodels and additions to the building an excavator was need to remove the unstable burned roof trusses to fully extinguish the fire. Knowles Volunteer Fire Department were able to save an attached garage which was beyond a fire break in the structure.
Also responding to the fire was Kekoskee Fire Department , Theresa Fire Department, Mayville Fire Department, Mayville EMS, Iron Ridge Fire Department and First Responders, Horicon Fire Dept, Oakfield Volunteer Fire Department & EMS, Campbellsport Fire Department, Hustisford Fire Department, CLR fire dept, Waupun Fire Department, Knowles Fire Dept Auxiliary, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, our Dodge County dispatchers, and Kwik Trip of Mayville who donated sandwiches and coffee.
