Fire damages Fond du Lac home

At 12:53 AM Sunday, November 19, 2023, the Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue and City of Fond du Lac Police were dispatched to a house on fire at 120 east 2nd Street.

Upon arrival, smoke and flames could be seen coming from the back of the house. Fire crews made a quick knock down of the flames and made entry to check for any extension to the attic space.

The Red Cross has been contacted to assist the occupants of the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.  Fond du Lac Police assisted with scene management and traffic control. Alliant Energy was called to the scene to secure gas and electric utilities.
