Fire Damages Fond du Lac Residence

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue crews responded to 432 Walker Street Saturday evening for a report of smoke coming from a home. The fire was put out, but not before it caused significant damage to the inside of the home. According to Chief Peter O’Leary, it was hard to find where the fire was located in the home due to a large amount of debris inside. There were also no working smoke alarms at the residence. The only person living at the home was able to get out safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fond du Lac Police Department and Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue.
