Fire Damages Mayville Home

Mayville Police and Fire Departments are investigating what caused a house to start fire in their city Wednesday morning.

Just before 11 AM, a neighbor reported smoke coming from a house located in the 0-100 block of Grove Street. Upon arrival, emergency responders found smoke and flames coming out of the two story duplex. It was found no one was home at the time of the fire.

A total of 11 fire departments responded to assist with the blaze. The Red Cross was contacted to assist with the families needs.
