Fire damages Winnebago County home

Winnebago County authorities responded to a house fire over the weekend.

On Saturday night, August 15, 2026, just after 11:30 p.m., several fire departments responded to a structure fire at 1978 Scarlett Oak Trail, about a mile west of Oshkosh.

First units on scene reported the back of the house was engulfed in flames and that everyone in the house was able to safely make it out prior to the fire department’s arrival.

No information as to how the fire started has been released at this time.
