Fire Danger High Through Week

The Wisconsin DNR is warning residents of the lower 2/3rds of Wisconsin that fire conditions are in the very high category.

A level 4 of their 5 level fire danger chart.

A fire danger of VERY HIGH means wildfires start easily, spread rapidly with increased intensity and are difficult to control.

The forecast through the end of the week will continue to provide dry conditions as relative humidity values remain low and winds gust to 15 miles per hour or higher.

The DNR states On windy, dry days, embers from any fire, especially burn piles and campfires, can easily escape control and cause a wildfire.
