Fire Destroys Pole Shed In Town Of Oakfield
Six fire departments responded to a
utility pole shed fire Friday afternoon in the Town of Oakfield. Fond du Lac
County Sheriff’s Sergeant Chris Dobyns says the blaze at N3932 Hickory Road
destroyed the 40 by 80 foot shed. One calf being housed in the shed died and
contents of the shed were also destroyed. The fire is not considered suspicious
and the cause is still being determined. In addition to Sheriff’s deputies fire
departments from Oakfield, Town of Fond du Lac, Brownsville, Lomira, Eden and
Fond du Lac responded to the scene. The fire was reported to the County
Communications Center at 3:36 p.m.
