Fire Destroys Van Dyne Home But Residents Escape

A Van Dyne home is a complete loss following a fire that broke out early Wednesday (2/19/20). Fire Fighters were call to High St. in Van Dyne at 4:36 a.m. by a resident report their garage on fire. 

The two occupants of the home, Brian and Diane Becker, were able to exit the structure, just as the fire swept from the garage to the house. There were no injuries reported as a result of the blaze, which appears to have been caused by smoking materials that ignited in the garage. 

The Red Cross was on the scene assisting the displaced family members. Also assisting at the scene were fire departments from Van Dyne, North Fond du Lac, Town of Fond du Lac, Eldorado, Brandon –Fairwater, City of Fond du Lac, Oakfield, Lamartine and Alto.
