Flags at half staff this weekend for fallen firefighters

You may notice American flags flying at half staff this Sunday. This is because of an order coming from Governor Tony Evers as a mark of respect for firefighters in Wisconsin who have given their lives in the line of duty.

The order coincides with this weekend also being National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.

Evers released a statement on Thursday saying, “Today and throughout the year, its important for us as Wisconsinites to pay our respects to firefighters who’ve lost their lives and made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.”
