Fond du Lac Bird Walk Planned For Migratory Bird Day Friday

Fans of avian life forms, otherwise known as birds can join in on a bird walk Friday, May 5, 2023 to celebrate Migratory Bird Day.

The walk gets underway at 6 PM at the Camelot Pond at 28 Camelot Drive on Fond du Lac’s south side.

Organizers say they expect to see waterfowl, songbirds, and possibly bats.

Anyone attending is recommended to wear comfortable shoes for outdoor activities and dress warm as it will likely cool as the sun sets. It’s suggested to bring binoculars,
but the group will have extras to share.

Fond du Lac is a Bird City Wisconsin city which means the city has habitat creation and protection for birds. Community forest management and has limited or removed threats to birds.
