Fond du Lac County deputies searching for drivers that eluded them overnight

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two drivers that eluded them overnight, Thursday, September 18, 2025.

The first was observed northbound on I-41 near Lost Arrow Road shortly after 12:30 a.m. A deputy observed a silver car go past him at about 140 mph.

Activating his lights and siren, the officer chased the vehicle north on 41.

A second deputy observed the vehicle pass his location at 41 and Johnson Street. That officer chased the vehicle north until reaching construction crews and a lane closure in the northern part of the county. With the danger involved to highway workers, the officer chose to terminate the pursuit.

Using Flock cameras, deputies learned that the car was a rental from Enterprise Rent a Car and they will be following up on the identification of the driver through rental records.

About two hours later, just before 2:30 a.m., a deputy clocked a motorcycle at 117 mph southbound on Highway 26 in the northern part of Fond du Lac County. The deputy almost immediately lost sight of the motorcycle which was described as a yellow sports bike with the driver having a black helmet.

The officer continued south on 26 to Rosendale while other deputies check the Highway 23 corridor, but were unable to find the bike.
