Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney named DA of the Year

Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney has won the 2024 Prosecutor of the Year Award from The Wisconsin District Attorneys’ Association.

Toney was nominated by City of Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein.

In his nomination, Goldstein commented on the difficult homicide cases Toney successfully prosecuted while also overcoming a serious heart condition that left him hospitalized but undeterred in his pursuit of justice for victims.

In addition, the selection committee noted that Toney was instrumental in successfully advocating for additional prosecutor positions and pay progression for Assistant District Attorneys while President of the Wisconsin District Attorneys’ Association and while continuing as a Board member for nearly a decade.

Upon receiving the award, Toney said he was honored to receive the award, adding the award is a testament to the incredible team in his office and the amazing law enforcement partners they work with.
