Fond du Lac County Fair Starts This Week

Its County Fair Week in Fond du Lac County. While the fair officially kicks off Wednesday, there’s a grandstand show featuring professional bull riding and barrel racing on horses Tuesday night starting at 6:30. The show goes until 9 with a fireworks display in the grandstand area starting around 9:30.

In addition to all the animal exhibits and judging, some features of this years fair include dollar days which takes place Wednesday from 1-5 PM where all rides except the Freak Out are $1 per ride. The Freak Out ride is $2 per ride. Unlimited ride packages can be purchased each day for $25 to be used Wednesday from 5-10, Thursday from 1-6 or 6-10, and Friday through Sunday from 12-5.

Mainstage shows on the grandstand stage include a truck and tractor pull Wednesday. The rock bands Skillet on Thursday, and Tesla Friday. Country artist Randy Houser Saturday and a demolition derby Sunday afternoon.

Numerous games and food vendors will also be on hand the duration of the fair.

Admission to the fair is free. Parking on the fair grounds is $10 per car. Street parking is free and there will be shuttle service for free running Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 4-11 from Thiesen Middle School at 525 east pioneer road.
