Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Release Names And Statuses Of Teens Involved In Fatal Crash
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the three teens involved in Saturday morning’s fatal crash on Golf Coarse Drive.
The names and information regarding the occupants include:
Driver: Thomas Koenigs – 16 years old – St. Mary’s Springs Academy
Front Seat Passenger: Nevins Zoch – 16 years old – Laconia High School
Rear Seat Passenger: Gillian Schwartz – 16 years old – Fond du Lac High School
Zoch was pronounced deceased at the scene. Koenigs died from his injuries Wednesday, January 25, 2023 and Schwartz was treated and released at SSM Health/St Agnes Hospital the night of the crash.
At 3:30 AM, Saturday, January 21, 2023, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call from a person that was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed into a tree on Golf Course Drive between Taft and Tower Roads in the Town of Taycheedah.
The reporting person said there were two other people in the car and it didn’t appear they were breathing.
Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department as well as Mt Calvary Fire and Ambulance responded to scene.
The first officer on scene confirmed one person was deceased and the second was in critical condition and pinned in the vehicle.
Theda Star Medical Helicopter out of Neenah was requested for the critically injured patient.
The crash and circumstances leading up to it remain under investigation, and no further information can be released at this time.
