Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office To Conduct Training – Filming In Areas Around County

The Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that it will be doing training over the next week in different spots around the county. KFIZ will announce areas closer to when they will be happening so the public doesn’t mistake the training for a real incident.

Today, the department’s SWAT team will be at the CD Smith building at the intersection of east Johnson and Prairie Road. Training will take place around 2 PM, but per the department, a film crew which will be recording the training may be in the area as early as 9 AM setting up.

This will be a high visibility area to passing motorists. It is urged that drivers do not get distracted with the training as they pass the area and not slow down to watch.

Later in the afternoon, the department moves to the airport where they will be working on vehicle pursuit training. The airport will be closed for 4-5 hours while this training
is taking place.
