Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officers promoted to lead communications center

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office will now be in charge of the Fond du Lac County Communications Center and yesterday the department announced promotions of two of their officers to lead the center.

lieutenant Eric Halbach has been promoted to captain of administration and will serve as division commander of the sheriff’s office communications center while Lieutenant Brennan Wagner will transfer to the communications division as second in command.

Halbach started his career with the sheriff’s office in November of 2001 as a correctional deputy and was promoted to patrol deputy in October of 2002. In 2013, he was
promoted to sergeant and held that position until his promotion to patrol lieutenant in August of 2018.

Wagner joined with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office in 2013. He was promoted to patrol sergeant in November of 2019. In February of last year, he was promoted to lieutenant of technology, overseeing large projects involving the dispatch center, radio system, Computer-aided dispatch and records management systems, as well as body worn and squad cameras.
