Fond du Lac DA used as special prosecutor in Sheboygan case gets conviction for threats to a judge

Thursday, September 5, 2024, Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney announced that a case he served as a special prosecutor on in Sheboygan County resulted in prison time of one year as well as three years probation for a Sheboygan man that made verbal threats over the phone to a judge in May of 2023.

Alfred Hudson was convicted of one count of Threat to an Officer of the Court, a class H felony, and sentenced by a Calumet County Judge.

According to the criminal complaint, Hudson left an eight minute voice mail to the judge from a phone at the Sheboygan Public Library in which he accused her of wrongfully accusing him of a crime and saying he wanted her dead. When questioned by police in the matter, Hudson stated he wasn’t a violent person, just upset with the system.
