Fond du Lac County kidnapping suspect pleads not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect

The 21-year-old man accused of attempting to kidnap a woman on a walking trail near Rosendale on June 29th has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.

Miles Jaeger approached the woman from behind, grabbed her by the neck and tried to put a cloth over her mouth while she pushed her one-year-old child in a stroller on the Mascoutin State Trail in Rosendale, .

She struggled and got away, running home with her child, and called for help.

Jaeger remains in custody on $200,000 cash bond and is due back in court on July 17.
