Fond du Lac man accused of having virtual child porn has defense argue vagueness of statute
The defense and prosecution of a Taycheedah man accused of having virtual child pornography, argued for almost two hours Monday, April 13, 2026, about the vagueness of the statute related to the charges.
Meillo Schneider is charged with nine counts of possession of virtual child pornography and one count of resisting or obstructing an officer.
After the court walked through each of the standards regarding the statute, and showing there is adequate and sufficient notice to the public within the statute, as well as citing caselaw, the defense’s motion fell short of getting charges dropped.
First arrested for the offenses in November of 2024, Schneider’s defense, at that time, argued it was his first amendment right to have the material.
Schneider is due back in court May 27th for a notice of hearing.
