Fond du Lac Man Arrested After Domestic Assault And Fleeing Officers

A 27-year-old Fond du Lac man was arrested Saturday, June 24, 2023 after being involved in a domestic situation and then leading police on a high speed pursuit.

At 7:05 PM, police responded to a 9-1-1 call in the 500 block of 4th Street. Initial information led officers to believe a physical domestic violence crime had just occurred
and the male suspect left in a vehicle. The 20-year-old female victim was taken to the hospital by a family member for her injuries.

Officers learned that the suspect may be in the area of 11th Street and Ann Street and as they responded to the area, they observed the vehicle that the suspect was believed to be in.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle but the driver failed to pull over and fled.

The vehicle pursuit reached speeds of approximately 60 MPH traveling through areas in the southwest portions of the City. During the pursuit, the suspect stopped the vehicle in the 300 block of West 11th Street and ran from officers. They pursued the suspect on foot until he ran into a house in the 400 block of Ann Street. Thats where police say the suspect was taken into custody.

He has been charged with Strangulation and Suffocation, Intimidation of a Victim, Disorderly Conduct, Battery, Obstructing an Officer, Fleeing from Officer, False Imprisonment, and possession of Marijuana.
