Fond du Lac Man Found Guilty In Overdose Death

A 42-year-old Fond du Lac man was found guilty Thursday of first degree reckless homicide for his role in the drug overdose death of a woman at 177 w Second Street in the City of Fond du Lac.

Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney said Robert L. Harris faces up to 40 years in prison and/or a fine up $100,000 after the verdict was handed down in Fond du Lac Circuit Court.

Police and paramedics were called to Harris’s home on May 31, 2020 for a report of a woman not breathing.

When emergency crews arrived, they found another woman giving CPR to the woman.

A witness stated she saw Harris inject the woman with a syringe which was later determined to contain fentanyl.

Harris’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 21, 2022 at 2:30 p.m.
