Fond du Lac man sentenced to 19 years in prison for 2022 stabbing

A man convicted of stabbing another man in Fond du Lac in 2022 was sentenced for his crime yesterday in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court.

Vickendrika Jones was sentenced to 19 years in prison and 20 years of extended supervision after pleading no contest to attempted homicide August 15, 2023, for the August 6, 2022 stabbing of another man outside the Press Box bar in the City of Fond du Lac.

According to the criminal complaint, Jones got into an altercation with the victim, and after the two went their separate ways, the victim realized he had been stabbed. He was driven to SSM/St Agnes Hospital to be treated for his wounds.

Police were called and through an investigation, Jones was named the suspect. Jones turned himself into police two days later after he realized they were looking for him.

He has an extensive criminal history in the State of Arkansas, starting in 2010 with a prison sentence for residential burglary and numerous additional criminal cases. Jones then began accumulating criminal cases in Fond du Lac County in 2020 with approximately 8 cases between May of 2020 and October of 2021.
