Fond du Lac Police Arrest Man In Connection With Stabbing Incident

Charges of attempted homicide and and First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety were referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office Monday against a 31-year-old Fond du Lac man in connection with a stabbing that occurred the morning of Saturday, August 6, 2022 in Fond du Lac.

Around 1:50 AM Officers were called to the SSM Health/St. Agnes Hospital Emergency Department for a 40-year-old man being treated for several knife wounds.

According to the victim, an unknown person confronted him outside of The Press Box Tavern at 251 Forest Avenue.

During the altercation, the victim was cut multiple times with a knife. The victim sustained multiple injuries and was treated by
hospital staff.

Two days later on August 8, 2022 the City of Fond du Lac Police Department Officers and Detectives developed a person of interest and took a 31-year-old Fond du Lac man into custody on an unrelated probation violation. He has remained in custody since and was officially charged for the crime Monday.

City of Fond du Lac Police say more information is anticipated to be released when a criminal complaint is filed by the District Attorney’s Office.
