Fond du Lac Police investigate north Main Street Shooting

On Sunday, June 20, 2024, at approximately 2:33 a.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and City of Fond du Lac Fire Rescue responded to the parking lot of Hoppers Screen Printing + Embroidery and Fast Taco Restaurant on N. Main Street for a report of a fight.  As FDLPD Officers responded the Fond du Lac County Communications Center advised that someone may have been shot.

Chief Aaron Goldstein stated, “Preliminary information and surveillance camera evidence suggest this shooting is an isolated and targeted incident and there is no threat to the community.”

At approximately 2:35 a.m. FDLPD Officers located a 24-year-old male Fond du Lac resident in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his shoulder/arm.  FDLPD Officers provided medical aid and began life-saving measures through the use of a tourniquet to stop the blood loss.  City of Fond du Lac Fire Rescue transported the victim to SSM Health (St. Agnes Hospital) helipad to be flown out for advanced medical treatment and care.  The victim is in stable condition.

FDLPD Detectives responded to begin processing evidence, conducting interviews, and reviewing various video surveillance.  FDLPD is actively following up on information to positively identify a person of interest.  The shooting took place from a vehicle in the parking lot which fled the scene prior to Officers arriving.
