Fond du Lac Police Investigate Shots Fired Call

The Fond du Lac Police Department were called to the area of the Forest Mall Apartments Saturday morning for a report of two gunshots being heard and a witness saying they saw a person fire a gun towards an open field.

Responding Officers located two people on the property and determined they were involved in the incident.

According to police, one of the subjects fired a 9mm pistol towards an unoccupied field area behind the apartment complex.

Officers were able to locate the pistol the 17-year-old Fond du lac male used and he was charged with recklessly endangering safety.

The Fond du Lac Police Department said the incident has been resolved and poses no further threat or safety issues for residents in this area.
