Fond du Lac pursuit lands Milwaukee man in jail

A 22 year old Milwaukee man who tried to elude police last night appeared to not know which way he wanted to go but ultimately ended up in jail after finally stopping for police.

At 8:11 PM a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle make an unsafe lane deviation and exit I-41 northbound onto highway 151. The vehicle drove through the red traffic lights at the top of the offramp and continued north on I-41. The Deputy activated his lights and siren and attempted to stop the vehicle however he disregarded the deputy and continued north on I-41.

The vehicle then exited at Military Road and continued north to the roundabout at 9th Street where he then headed back south on Military Road. The driver then turned off his headlights and was flashing his lights at oncoming vehicles. The reckless driving continued south bound onto County Road D where the vehicle turned back northbound on D at Miranda Way, narrowly missing a State Patrol Trooper that was attempting to deploy stop sticks near Brown Road. The vehicle than turned around again on County D southbound where it finally came to a stop near Commerce Court.

The man was taken into custody without incident on charges of driving while Intoxicated, Recklessly Endangering Safety and Bail Jumping. The pursuit spanned a total of 8 miles.
