Fond du Lac School District announces administrative updates for the 2025-26 school year

The Fond du Lac School District is announcing administrative updates for the 2025-26 school year, following Sabish Middle School Principal Alex Garcia’s acceptance of a position in another district.
Matt Wolfert, current Rosenow Principal, will become the Sabish Middle School Principal. He has led Rosenow Elementary for the past four years and previously served as Dean of Students and PBIS Coordinator in the Appleton Area School District. He holds a master’s in Educational Leadership from Carroll University and a bachelor’s in Education from UW-Oshkosh.

“Mr. Wolfert has been a steady leader in our district, and we are confident in his ability to impact the Sabish community positively,” said Mr. Steinbarth, Chief Academic Officer and incoming Superintendent.
Joining Mr. Wolfert at Sabish is Amanda Kelm, who will serve as Assistant Principal. Mrs. Kelm previously taught at Sabish before moving into the district data and assessment specialist role and currently serves as a New Teacher Support and Retention Supervisor. She replaces Nathan Brunnbauer, who was previously named for the role. Mrs. Kelm holds a bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Psychology from UW-Madison and a master’s in Educational Technology from Marian University.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Kelm back to Sabish,” said Mr. Steinbarth. “She has extensive experience supporting staff and helping students thrive.”
Mr. Nathan Brunnbauer will become Principal at Rosenow Elementary, replacing Mr. Wolfert. He has served as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) at Parkside Elementary for the last three years. Mr. Brunnbauer earned a bachelor’s in Education from Lakeland University and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Marian University.

“Mr. Brunnbauer brings a strong commitment to student growth,” said Mr. Steinbarth. “We are excited to support his continued leadership journey at Rosenow.”
The school district says they are excited about these leaders and their contributions to the 2025-26 administrative team. In an effort to continue reducing the operating budget, Mrs. Kelm’s position as a New Teacher Support and Retention Supervisor will not be filled.
