Fond du Lac School District Announces Implementation of Co-Principals at the High School

The Fond du Lac School District recently shared the following message with the community.

Dear FHS Families,

We hope you are enjoying a restful summer. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to share an important update regarding the leadership team at Fond du Lac High School.

We are excited to announce that Mr. Nick Shultis and Mrs. Amy Jahn will be joining Fond du Lac High School as co-principals. Please see their introductions below to learn more about their backgrounds and vision for FHS.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to Mr. Dave Michalkiewicz for his dedicated leadership and service as principal. Dave will be stepping into a new district-wide role as our Director of Student Conduct and Support, where he’ll support even more students and families across Fondy Schools.

As part of this transition, Dave’s new role will incorporate the duties previously handled by the Coordinator of Human Relations and the Director of Bilingual and English Education. By combining these responsibilities, we can streamline our district office and reduce one administrative position while still supporting our schools.

Thank you for everything you do for our students and community. Enjoy these last few weeks of summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in August!

Amy Jahn brings nearly 15 years of leadership experience within the Fond du Lac School District, serving as a high school teacher, instructional coach, and elementary principal. Nick Shultis has served the Fond du Lac community for nearly two decades as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal. Throughout our careers, one belief has remained constant: strong schools are built through meaningful relationships, high expectations, and a commitment to helping every student thrive.

At the heart of our leadership is a simple belief: Cardinals soar highest when they fly together. We believe students are most successful when schools and families work in partnership—supporting one another, communicating openly, and always keeping students at the center of our decisions.
