Fond du Lac St Patrick’s Day Parade set for Saturday

The City of Fond du Lac’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade happens this Saturday, March 15.
The parade will start at 3 PM on the corner of Rees and Main Streets and travel south to Veterans Park. The annual event is usually one of the largest parades in the city for the year, with this years event expected to draw nearly 50 floats.
Prior to the parade’s start, Main Street will be closed for the annual Green Mile Run Walk, sponsored by the Fond du Lac Running Club.
Parking will be restricted on Main Street between Johnson Street and Western Avenue on Saturday starting at noon. Additionally, traffic restrictions will be in place on S. Macy Street, Western Avenue, and S. Marr Street. The parade route will start to shut down to all traffic starting at 1:30PM. Please plan your travels accordingly.
The Fond du Lac Police want to remind parade watchers and participants that alcoholic beverages are not permitted among participants at any time, from the staging area, along the parade route, and/or in any vehicle or float. Public consumption of alcoholic beverages is also prohibited at any time or under any circumstances along the parade route.
Weatherwise, you may want to bring an umbrella as scattered showers are possible and winds will be gusty, with temperatures in the low 50s.
