Fond du Lac’s Braelon Allen Leads Jets

Fond du Lac’s Braelon Allen continues to impress in his first season as the New York Jets’ backup running back. The 20-year-old from Fond du Lac made history last week by becoming the youngest player in 94 years to score a touchdown. On Thursday night, he led the Jets in rushing, carrying the ball 11 times for 55 yards, with his longest run being 11 yards. The Jets secured a 24-3 victory over the New England Patriots.

Fond du Lac Head Coach Sam Plucker, who was an assistant coach when Allen donned the Cardinal uniform, has high praise for Allen, both as a player and as a person.

Chuck Freimund was joined by Jets beat writer Nick Faira of Athlon Sports this week to talk about Braelon’s success early in the NFL Season.
