Fond du Lac’s Gentleman’s Groom Room Salon

The Fond du Lac area has no shortage of places for a man to get a haircut. There are dozens of places to choose from.

One recently opened location was designed with the client in mind.

The Gentleman’s Groom Room is located in the Studio 40 building at 40 4th Street and is the product of Brittany Rivers. A transplant to Fond du Lac from Racine after gaining her cosmetology degree at Moraine Park Technical College.

Rivers has always specialized in men’s hair care. She says it keeps things simple.

After school she worked for a local salon, but felt a calling to open her own place. A place where her ideas can flourish, her design, her rules, her prices, which btw are a steal for the pampering a guy can get at her place.

When you walk in, you immediately are hit with the relaxing smell of lavender which is added to a hot towel you can have for your face.

In the background plays some classic rock music. Not too loud, yet not too quiet.

The best thing about the Gentleman’s Groom Room is there will be no rush to get you out so the next client can come in. Rivers purposely schedules her appointments well spaced apart, so she can take time to give the attention needed to make you feel welcome, and also plenty of time to get the job done.

Rivers offers traditional services like cuts, styles, ear, brow and nose wax and even an advance scalp treatment.

On the T.V. may be some trending funny videos to watch while you enjoy a snack and beverage provided. All in her one chair room so you don’t have to listen to a stylist next to you talking loudly to their client.

The Groom Room’s hours are just as accommodating as the services. Open until 8 PM Tuesday and Wednesday 9-6 Thursday and Friday and 9-2 Saturdays. Contact the Gentleman’s Groom Room at 920-204-9880. All ages are welcomed.
