Fondy 100 Gives
The Fondy 100 Gives effort awarded a $7,500 grant during the group’s first meeting last month. Each member donates $100 four times a year and the money goes to a worthwhile project that benefits the community. Each meeting they award a $7,500 grant with the remaining $2,500 going into a community impact endowment fund. Sandi Roehrig of the group says the first grant went to Camp To Belong. She says it reunites foster children who have been separated in the state. The camp allows the siblings to come together. She says often it is the only time they get to see each other. Roehrig says they have started a waiting list for membership to Fondy 100 Gives. Their next meeting will be on October 18th at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts.
