Fondy Boys Upset Middleton and Other Area Scores

The Fond du Lac Cardinals Boys Basketball team stepped out of conference for a matchup with Middleton one of the top teams in the state and defending Big 8 Conference Champion. The Cardinals led for most of the first half including a 13 point lead. In the second half, Middleton cut the lead to 5 but Fond du Lac was able to hold off the run by 6-1 Middleton for a victory 68-56. Fond du Lac was led in scoring by Eli Zimmerman with 20 points, Rocky Barfknecht had 18.

The Cardinals are now 5-4 heading back into conference action Tuesday January 2nd on the road at undefeated Appleton North. Chuck Freimund and Nick Van Nocker will have the tipoff at 7:45pm on KFIZ.
