Game Recap – The Fond du Lac Cardinals lost the opening game to Sussex Hamilton but showed resilience against an up-tempo hurry-up offense. The Cardinals fell behind 7-0 after driving the ball deep into Chargers territory. They narrowed the deficit to 1 point with a 27-yard touchdown pass from Sophomore QB DeAndre Williamson Jr to Connor Johnson. Trailing 21-6, the Cardinals pulled within a touchdown with 5 minutes left when Williamson Jr connected with Johnson again from 16 yards out and converted a 2-point conversion. Fond du Lac forced a turnover but couldn’t capitalize, turning the ball over on downs. Sussex Hamilton sealed the game with a 31-yard TD run by QB Chas Powell.
