Former Mayville Police Chief Charged With Misconduct In Office

Former Mayville Police Chief Chris MacNeill made his initial court appearance in Dodge County Court this week on charges of misconduct in office and obstructing an officer. He allegedly altered documents in 2011 to help the son of a Mayville police officer get into the army. What was supposed to be a “drug possession” case was turned into a “school medication violation.” MacNeill was released on a $1,000 signature bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 10th.
