Former North Fondy Man Waives Hearing On Standoff Charges

The former North Fond du Lac man involved in a standoff with Fond du Lac Police has been bound over for trial. Forty-nine-year-old Brian Santistevan of Greendale recently waived his preliminary hearing in Fond du Lac County Court. He is facing seven charges from two separate incidents, but three of them are for a standoff incident in the 100 block of Sibley Street. He allegedly held his estranged girlfriend and her 8-year-old daughter at knifepoint before he fell asleep and they escaped from the residence. After he awoke there was a standoff with police that ended peacefully.
