Four teens killed in Dodge County crash over holiday weekend

It was a deadly weekend on a Dodge County road as a crash there Monday, May 27, 2024, claimed the lives of 4 people.
Around 4:00 am the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash between a semi cab and a pick-up truck on State Highway 16/60 at the intersection of County Road TT, about three miles east of Columbus.
Initial investigation showed that the pickup was traveling north on County Highway TT when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign at State Highway 16/60. The driver of the semi was traveling east on State Highway 16/60 when he struck the pickup.
Three of the Five occupants in the pick-up were pronounced deceased at the scene, which were the driver, a 19-year-old Sun Prairie man, a 17-year-old Sun Prairie male passenger, and a 16-year-old male passenger from Madison. An 18-year-old female passenger later died at UW Hospital. The last passenger in the pick-up, an 18-year-old from Madison, was transported to UW Madison Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The 57 year old male driver of the semi cab from La Farge Wisconsin, was transported to Prairie Ridge Hospital in Columbus with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
