Four unit Fond du Lac house damaged by fire

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue responded to a four unit house fire Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Just after 2 PM the department was paged for smoke visible in the basement of the building. Upon arrival, crews found fire in the basement extending into a first floor kitchen wall.

The fire was extinguished quickly, but not before causing significant damage to the kitchen area.

The home was occupied at the time, but all occupants escaped without injury. The Red Cross assisted with four of the tenants who were displaced due to the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
