Friday Walleye Weekend greets large crowd with great weather
Day one of Walleye Weekend is in the books with a big crowd turnout, largely thanks to great weather on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Popular events were bands such as Brent Bel and the Boys, Flannel Revival and the Ozzy Ozbourn tribute band Crazy Train.
Lots of food and drinks were sold at the non profit tents and the softball tournament got underway.
The City of Fond du Lac had a large police presence on the festival grounds and the crowds largely kept in check, however there were a couple “highly intoxicated” people needing attention as well as a couple medical emergencies that were quickly taken care of by police and Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue.
Day 2 of the festival starts Saturday at 7 a.m. with the Walleye Weekend run and walks including the main five mile course, a three mile family walk, a one mile 12 and under run and a 1/3 mile six and under boys, girls, and combined with parents races.
200 teams of fisherman will head out for day one of two of the walleye fishing tournament and bands such as Road Trip, Bad Habitz, and Glam Band will perform on the three stages, as well as walleye weekend staples, Pier Pups, Wild World of Animals and Fun on the Run animal racing.
The weather looks to be a bit warmer than Friday with a couple scattered afternoon showers possible.
