Froedtert Reportedly Buys Old Younkers Building… Possible Plans To Bring New Facility To Fond du Lac

UPDATE: An official response from Froedtert states that while a deed transfer for the property has taken place, there is no finalized plan for development at this time. The headline has been modified to reflect this development.

Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin has reportedly bought the old Younkers building in Fond du Lac on Johnson Street on the cities west side for $3.75 million, and may be planning for a new hospital and clinic at the location.

Froedtert would be joining Aurora who is adding a hospital on to their location on Fond du Lac’s far east side.

It is unknown at this time when Froedtert plans to start construction of the new facility or when it is expected to be completed.

Froedtert has over 30 locations in Wisconsin with the closest to Fond du Lac being in Kewaskum.

Froedtert is just one of several new business coming to Fond du Lac. Other companies with eyes on the city are Meijer Foods, Crumbl Cookie, Scooters Coffee, Harbor Freight, Caribou Coffee and Chipolte.
