Garten Factory First Annual Winter Fest Benefits Three Agencies
“Christmas isn’t a season, it’s an attitude. It’s the spirit of giving, the time for joy for doing kindnesses that change hearts and lives.” Winterfest 2016 encapsulates that sentiment, offering the sights and sounds of the holiday season along with the opportunity to give to three local agencies reputed for programs that changes lives. Garten Factory Manager Wayne Bailey summarizes the event and invites community to come and enjoy Saturday December 17 from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm. The Garten Factory, located at 24 S. Brooke St., will be transformed into a winter wonderland everyone is certain to enjoy, with free holiday wagon rides and a petting zoo from Whisper Hill Clydesdales; chili, hot dogs and holiday treats served by the Garten Factory company family; cocoa, coffee and s’mores by the fireside; and a special outdoor event course for the children, designed to show Santa their best Elf skills. Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves will oversee the fun and every child completing the course will get a wintery gift.
The event is free. Donations will be taken to benefit The ARC of Fond du Lac, the Fond du Lac Family YMCA and The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac County.
“Dress for winter outdoor fun and hope for snow!” Wayne finishes.
