Good Year Blimp makes appearance while travelling to Oshkosh

It was eyes to the sky for thousands of southeast Wisconsin residents Thursday, July 23, 2026, as one of the Good Year Blimps passed over, enroute to EAA’s AirVenture.

The blimp departed from Elkhart Indiana Thursday afternoon, flying across lower Lake Michigan and coming onshore over Ozaukee County. From there it passed over Washington County, into Fond du Lac County and finally landing at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.

The blimp, which was travelling around 40-50 mph, made close passes over the villages and cities of Kewaskum, Campbellsport, Eden, Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac, giving residence there a great view as it passed around 1500 feet off the ground.

The blimp will be at AirVenture through the rest of the convention which ends Sunday.
