Green Lake County Man Arrested After Fleeing FDL County
A Green Lake County man has been arrested following a multi-county chase that occurred early Friday morning.
A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle Friday morning at 1:52 a.m. as a result of several traffic violations. The stop took place on Hwy. 45 near Lovers Road in the Town of Auburn. As the deputy began investigating the driver for possible impairment, the 49-year old male took off from the scene.
The deputy pursued the vehicle south on Hwy. 45 for approximately three miles before ultimately terminating the pursuit. Prior to fleeing, the operator did provide his identity to the deputy, and that information was relayed to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the Germantown Police Department arrested the driver after he was involved in another vehicle pursuit in their jurisdiction. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is referring criminal charges for felony eluding, resisting/obstructing officer, and a citation for possession of an open intoxicants. There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the pursuit in Fond du Lac County.
