Green Lake’s Heidel House to Close This Spring

The Heidel House Resort and Spa, which has been welcoming guests
to the shores of Green Lake since the 1940s will be closing this spring.
According to reports, the resort will close on May 20^th. Owners of
the Heidel House say the business has suffered “continuous losses” in revenue
over the past decade, and they attribute those in part to other nearby tourist
destinations – including the Wisconsin Dells. The resort has been up for sale
and Fiore Companies, which owns the Heidel House, says they will continue to
seek a buyer. If no buyer is found, the property may undergo other uses or
development.
