Grothman Exposes Massive Fraud in Minnesota Social Services
As a member of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Glenn Grothman questioned witnesses during a hearing titled, “Oversight of Fraud and Misuse of Federal Funds in Minnesota: Part I,” exposing massive fraud in Minnesota’s social services programs that’s costing American taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.
Federal prosecutors have charged nearly 100 individuals for stealing taxpayer funds meant to feed children, prevent homelessness, and provide autism services – money that instead allegedly went to luxury cars, real estate, and even overseas terrorist organizations. Evidence shows Minnesota officials saw early warning signs but failed to act.
The Oversight Committee is now conducting a full investigation to determine how this fraud was allowed to happen, ensure those responsible are held accountable, and verify that safeguards are put in place to prevent it from happening again.
