Grothman Wins Congressional Race

State Senator Glenn Grothman delivered his victory speech in the 6th Congressional District race before a gathering of Republican Party faithful in Fond du Lac Tuesday night. Grothman says during the race against Winnebago County Executive Mark Harris, a Democrat, his campaign emphasized jobs, lowering the national debt and welfare reform. He says advisers told him he was pushing the welfare message harder than most candidates. He says nasty campaign ads didn’t work against him or Governor Scott Walker. At the end of his speech he expressed a sincere desire to do a good job representing the 6th Congressional District. Grothman will succeed Republican Congressman Tom Petri who has held the seat for the past 35 years.  Hear his victory speech by clicking here.
