Head-On Collision Closes 151 Near Waupun

A serious crash in Dodge County had the northbound side of Highway 151 closed between State Highways 26 and 49 this morning for four hours while accident reconstruction crews worked the scene.
At approximately 2:47 AM, the Fond Du Lac and Dodge County dispatch centers began taking 911 calls reporting a white box truck traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 151 near State Highway 49. A short time later the dispatch center was advised the box truck had crashed head on into another vehicle.
Law enforcement arrived on scene and initial investigation shows that the box truck collided head-on with a northbound Kia passenger car. A second passenger car also traveling northbound on 151 subsequently struck the Kia passenger car.
There were a total of 4 occupants in the Kia. The driver, a 25 year old male and one of the passengers, a 28 year old female were pronounced deceased on scene. The two other passengers in the Kia were transported via ambulance to hospitals for their injuries.
There were a total of 3 occupants in the second vehicle. All three of them were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and lone occupant of the box truck was identified as a 69 year old male from the State of Pennsylvania. It wasn’t stated if he was injured or not.
151 was opened back up to traffic shortly before 7 this morning.
