Heavy Snow Expected To Fall Today
UPDATE: As of 7:30, the National Weather Service has upgraded Fond du Lac County to a Winter Storm Warning, upping snow totals to 4-8 inches.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Fond du Lac County and a winter storm warning for counties to our south today.
About 3-6 inches of snow is expected to fall in this early spring storm with winds gusting to around 35 mph.
Areas of Dodge and Washington Counties could see around 5-8 inches before the day is done. The warnings and advisories go until 4 PM this afternoon.
Temperatures will be hovering around the low 30s which will make the snow wet and heavy. The National weather service urges anyone shoveling to take it easy as shoveling heavy snow can put a strain on the heart.
They say if you have to shovel, stay hydrated, take breaks, and only move small amounts of snow with each shovel pass.
